    Great short visit

Staff were welcoming and friendly on arrival and when we got to our room we were given a bottle of wine as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. Room was lovely and clean and we found all the staff helpful throughout our stay - with nothing being too much trouble, for example lending us an adaptor as we'd forgotten ours.

    Great value in quieter area

Enjoyed our stay, comfortable room/bed, good sized bathroom, nice towels, good housekeeping etc. Hotel is in quiet area of Venice near to rail station. Lots to do in the area. Not for everyone though if you haven’t been to Venice before. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel but did use the bar which was very pleasant with great service- although with cocktails at 16euro a bit overpriced. (Did say 12Euro on website) Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms very darkly decorated but relaxing. We had lovely view of canal and limited noise. Some of hotel could do with a lick of paint. When we left we were sent a message asking for a five star review which was annoying and probably explains the overall score. Is it the best hotel in Venice - unlikely - but it was good value and we liked the area.

Excellent rooms! Comfortable beds. Everything was clean. Hotel is located close to train station and most sites are within walkable distance. Had a great time! Would highly recommend!

Just lovely ! A real pleasure staying in .

We arrived here feeling fairly optimistic we'd made a good choice . Pre-arrival communication was excellent . The hotel is situated canal side in this lovely area which we particularly enjoyed . Everything about the hotel was great . It's immaculate , the service was fantastic and a lovely welcome including a nice surprise for my partners significant birthday . We booked a superior room and were again really delighted . Large comfy bed, lovely bathroom and super quiet overlooking the garden area . We enjoyed the breakfast a lot and there was plenty of choice for us . When we return to Venice , this will be our hotel of choice . Thanks for a great stay .

Spacious, family-friendly hotel in Venice with excellent service, attentive staff, and clean.

We traveled to Venice, Italy for the first time as a family of four with two teenage boys (14 and 13), and we had a wonderful stay at Carnival Palace Hotel. Before arriving, we were a little worried about the room size because we know many hotels in Italy can be quite small, and we thought our boys might have to sleep on a pull-out couch. To our surprise, the room was incredibly spacious. It felt like two rooms in one, a king bed for us and two separate twin beds for our boys. We stayed in room 123 and it was perfect for our family. The room was spotless and the bathroom was fantastic two sinks, a bidet, a shower, and a huge bathtub, which was a great bonus after long days exploring Venice. We had breakfast at the hotel every morning and the staff in the breakfast room were incredibly attentive. Katerina was especially wonderful always greeting us with a big smile and making sure everything was perfect. The reception staff, Antony and Maddalena were also very helpful and gave us great recommendations for places to grab a bite around the city. The bartender at the hotel bar was friendly and welcoming as well. Another big plus for international travelers, everyone spoke English and Spanish very well, which made everything very easy for us. We absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Venice especially families traveling with children or teenagers. If you’re considering it for your trip, you won’t regret it!

    A perfect place to stay!

A beautiful hotel in a location that was absolutely perfect for us! Lots of great restaurants nearby and easy walking distance to everything, but the hotel itself was quiet and peaceful. Excellent staff, who were so friendly and helpful. Communication from them was brilliant from start to finish! We hope to come back soon!

Carnival Palace is a good option

The hotel is in a neighborhood I highly recommend. It was my first time in this area, and I really enjoyed it. The hotel's advantage is its location near the canal used to get to the airport, two public transport boat stations, and the train station, just one block from one of the best restaurants in Cannargigio Agli Archi. The concierge service before your trip and throughout the day is excellent, with staff who speak several languages. The room is comfortable, clean, and has venetian theme but not cluttered decor. It might be a bit small for two people, but it was sufficient for me. The towels were particularly good, and there was a safe and a small refrigerator. I had an unpleasant experience with the housekeeping service. They didn't finish their shift and left the room incomplete. The room attendant took my electricity key, and I returned that night, which I found very inconvenient. The night staff wasn't professionally trained, and everything they did in a two-hour period only made things worse. I'm not giving the hotel a negative review because of this situation. For me, a problem can be resolved, and that's where the manager shows their quality. In this case, the manager never responded to my complaint, and if they now appear with apologies, obviously I won't accept them. I didn't use the breakfast service because I found it expensive, and when I asked what it consisted of, I didn't get a satisfactory answer. Although I didn't see anyone at the bar all week, partly because I didn't use it, it's on the way to the elevators. The bartender was very friendly when I asked for tea bags. There is no room dining service. So, be aware that you shouldn't leave your electricity activation card in your room. If you order something from your room, like toiletries, it will take a long time to arrive, and it might not be complete or it might not be what you asked. It should be noted that traversing the area requires significant walking; most bridges are equipped with steps rather than ramps, and numerous streets do not feature names or signage. The best news is that if you get lost, the locals are friendly. Even if they don't speak much English, they try to communicate and help tourists. I found the people wonderfully pleasant. You can pay all with credit cards, and go to Murano by public transportation, is simple and inexpensive. The art is everywhere, not only in the museums, enjoy the flowers and vegetables stands, the people, the neighborhood far form the most popular places. I am in love with Venice, you will too.

Great place, great location and staff

We had a lovely stay at the carnival Palace. A beautiful room, lovely staff and the location is great. There are lots of restaurants locally and the main attractions are not far away. We would definitely recommend this hotel. Thank you for having us.

    Lovely hotel on the canal

We loved our stay here we only stayed one night in a suite with canal view. We were two adults, an 8 and 10 year old. I was concerned before as to what the children would be sleeping on I wasn't sure if it was sofa beds but they were proper mattresses on the beds with a separating sliding door between them and the master bedroom area. The staff were all friendly and we loved the area. The water bus stops just outside, it is just a ten minute walk to the main station and there are plenty of lovely eateries just by - we recommend the very good restaurant! We were also able to get a gondola from the end of the street. For us it was perfect. Staff were super friendly and a lovely breakfast in the morning.
