No fridge in the room, door didn’t close properly, cleaner came in but didn’t change the sheets, just gave new towels. Food was good
Just returned from a week at Coral Star Hotel. Do not listen to bad reviews, we had a fantastic time. I couldn't fault the hotel. The food was amazing every night. Each night was a different theme so always something different to eat. All staff were great, all work really hard. The kids loved the entertainers, especially Lois, he was fantastic with the children. A credit to the hotel. I can't wait to rebook for next year.
Breakfast was not so good! But all the staff was great, especially Paula, Albero, etc. Luis was very funny
Moderate breakfast! It was nice for once. But rather go to Ibiza town!
The hotel is nice, staff very friendly, rooms and hallways need a bit of upgrading. If you are planning on clubbing and events in San Antonio, maybe this isn't for you. Some evenings you could be waiting over an hour for a taxi. Beach nearby and Kumharas is lovely, but the street where the hotel and apartments are is really quiet, with some closed-down businesses. Ideal if you want a quiet break, but not a lively one.
Just returned home, we were a family of 6 adults and 4 children, we had a fabulous time. All staff are friendly and work so hard. Rooms are clean and the hallways smell lovely. We went all-inclusive and drinks were great, only gripe would be we were served in plastic cups even in the evenings at the bar, you could only have glasses if you were paying, which we have never encountered before on all-inclusive. Food, although not as much selection as we've had before, was very tasty and plentiful. The part that made our holiday extra great was a member of the animation team, Luis is amazing, he's fantastic with the children and adults, my granddaughter absolutely loved him. We found ourselves laughing so much in his presence. He's a genuine entertainer and an absolute credit to the hotel. I'd love to pick him up and take him on every holiday with us. I'd recommend this hotel, it's spotless and has fabulous staff throughout. It has a very friendly vibe.
Stayed here for five nights in August and found everything to be as expected. The hotel is located a taxi ride or water-taxi trip away from the main San Antonio bay. While there are a few bars, including the excellent Kumharas, within walking distance, it is not a loud, party area. In fact, there is a surprising number of empty and run-down shops & restaurants in close proximity, some of which provide the view from your balcony if you are located on that side of the Coral Star Hotel. The hotel itself is very clean and the rooms were well-appointed and kept clean with a daily visit from the housekeepers. However, the hotel does need a refurb as some areas are looking tired and the legendary red carpet could really do with being replaced. The air conditioning was adequate and I even felt a bit cold overnight with it left running, so we had no problems sleeping even when it was in the mid-30s during the day. The dining area is a compact room, with some old-school plastic table covers and it does have the feeling of a school canteen. However, the food was edible, with a different theme each evening, but the choice was a bit limited. Also, there are no live cooking stations, so options I have experienced elsewhere like fresh omelettes or grilled fish are simply not available. The swimming pools were warm enough, with plenty of sunbeds available. There was no mad rush in the morning, but as with most hotels, if you want a particular spot, you will need to reserve it at 9 am. There were pool activities including aqua aerobics and water polo, which meant some loud music around the pool area, including some Cee Lo Green around the kids' pool! The entertainment team consisted of one guy, who really made a great effort, but on his day off, nothing happened. There are some sandy beaches within walking distance (15 mins), with the best one being out of the hotel and turn left to Es Port d'Es Torrent. The snack bar was excellent, serving chips & crisps along with daily specials including hot dogs, burgers & chicken tenders. Bar staff were pleasant and worked hard to keep your drinks topped up. Evening entertainment was limited to a few quiz-type games and karaoke, along with a mini-disco. Bring your own pool towels and maybe even your own plastic cups as you will need to hire these in order to have a drink outside of the restaurant. The Wi-Fi is average and connectivity around the pools was patchy. You will struggle to stream video. This is a budget option for staying in Ibiza and you get what you pay, or don’t pay, for.
WORST HOTEL IN THE WORLD. The whole place genuinely made me so depressed. We arrived, walked to the room, the carpets covered in stains and god knows what else. We got into the room and my god was it bad. As soon as we saw the conditions, we knew we had to leave. We were there all of ten minutes and They wouldn't give us a refund and the staff were so rude!!! This place needs to be shut down. Hell on earth. Disgusting. Shut this place down asap.
Hair on the floor in the room of people before us, carpet in the hallways very dirty and old, staff in the breakfast room thinks they are running a club, at 09.00 the music is blasting but meanwhile they walk around with grumpy faces. All in all, we will not come back here.
